Accurate Metals Testing Inc. was founded in 2006 as a father and son operation. Together, we combine 30 years of Metallurgical Testing experience, that dates back to the mid 1980’s in Santa Fe Springs CA where we got introduced to the Laboratory Environment.
The unique California Market gave us valuable experience with exotic materials used in the aerospace industry as well as a different techniques for sectioning, machining and grinding.

MACRO ETCH
Macro Etch of carbon steels, stainless steels, aluminum, & nickel-based materials in compliance to API, ASME, and AWS specifications.
STRESS RELIEF
Stress relief is done with a programable controller which enables the ramp up/down segments to comply with requirements of ASME Sec VIII.
SPOT WELD / SHEER PULL
Spot Weld/shear pulls. Accurate Metals Testing provides macro etch and shear pulls in accordance with AWS D17.2 specification for resistance welding for aerospace applications.
TENSILE TESTING
Accurate Metals Testing offers tensile testing in accordance with ASTM E8 standard test methods for tension testing of metallic materials. ASTM A370 standard test methods and definitions for mechanical testing of steel products. ASTM B557 standard test methods for tension testing wrought and cast aluminum and magnesium allow products. Weld tensile testing in accordance with API, ASME, and AWS standards.
CHARPY V NOTCH TESTING
Charpy V Notch testing following guidelines of ASTM E23 standard test methods for notched bar impact testing of metallic materials. Testing can be performed from room temperature down to -320⁰F
CHEMICAL ANALYSIS
Chemical analysis by Optical Emission Spectrometry (OES) on ASTM E415 steels, ASTM E1086 stainless steels ASTM E1251 aluminums, ASTM E1473 nickel and ASTM E1473 cobalt.
WELD QUALIFICATIONS
Weld performance/procedure qualifications to AWS standards D1.1, D1.2, D1.5, D1.6, ASME Sec. IX, API 1104, API 5L.
HARDNESS TESTING
Accurate Metals Testing performs Rockwell Hardness Testing to ASTM E18 standard test methods for Rockwell Hardness of metallic materials.
Brinell hardness to ASTM E10 standard test method for Brinell Hardness of metallic materials.
Vickers hardness in accordance with ASTM E92 standard test method for Vickers Hardness of metallic materials.
BEND TESTING
Accurate Metals Testing performs bend testing in accordance with ASTM E290 standard test methods for bend testing of material for ductility as well as other standards such as AWS, API, ASME for weld qualifications.
